Denver Metro - TOD Station Area Plans

Crandall Arambula prepared 16 station area plans along five FasTraks light rail corridors for the Cities of Denver, Englewood, and Aurora.

The plans were developed for stations that were already constructed as well as anticipated station locations along planned light rail corridors. The ‘typologies’ vary widely from greenfield suburban to low-income public housing districts to downtown infill station areas. All plans were adopted and additional General Development Plan (GDP) refinement has occurred, which resulted in a considerable amount of new transit-oriented development. Crandall Arambula:

  • Served as the prime consultant and coordinated a team of transportation, economic, and other sub-consultants

  • Facilitated all station area public involvement efforts

  • Provided for most corridors, multiple stations, and concurrent station area planning services

  • Prepared all station area urban design, land use planning, and implementation services

  • Prepared all station area final documents

  • Provided transit station facility design refinement in cooperation with the Regional Transit District (RTD) and their transit engineering consultant
