George M. Crandall,

George has been responsible for more than 50 key urban and community
design projects across the country and throughout the West. Many
of his local projects have made Portland and Oregon models for planning
in America. He has served as President for the Architectural Foundation
of Oregon, Board President for 1000 Friends of Oregon, President
of the Portland Chapter AIA, and Chair of the AIA Urban Design Committee.
Because he is an architect with many major projects in his portfolio,
he understands what it takes to get plans built. George has a bachelor
of architecture degree and a bachelor of science degree in civil
engineering from the University of Arizona. |

Don Arambula,
ASLA, Principal (darambula@ca-city.com)
Don’s primary focus is to create livable communities. With
over 20 years’ experience in planning, urban design, and architecture,
he has worked on projects ranging from urban infill housing to creating
new towns. He has developed tools that enable decision makers and
citizens to quickly evaluate and select transit corridors and station
sites that maximize transit- oriented development opportunities.
His nationally recognized, award winning projects include downtown
revitalization plans, neighborhood development plans, streetscape
design, design guidelines and policy plans. Don has a bachelor of
science degree in landscape architecture and regional planning from
Colorado State University. |

Debra Ames, Marketing

Debra has over 22 years’ experience marketing for the A/E/C
industry. She is responsible for business development and marketing,
including research, client development, public relations, proposals
and interview preparation. She has served as president for the Society
for Marketing Professional Services (SMPS). Debra has a bachelor’s
degree in English literature from Washington State University. |

Jason Graf, Associate
Principal/Project Manager (jgraf@ca-city.com)
Jason has extensive experience creating downtown and neighborhood
urban design plans that foster pedestrian-friendly communities locally
and across the country. He develops design solutions that integrate
land use and transportation and stress public investment as a catalyst
for private development. His work includes streetscape design, compatible
infill design strategies, waterfront design, downtown district planning,
community design workshops and facilitation. Jason has a bachelor
of science degree in landscape architecture from the University
of Kentucky. |

Erin Carter, Urban
Designer/Project Manager (ecarter@ca-city.com)
Erin is an urban designer with Crandall Arambula. She has worked
on many local and national downtown revitalization and station area
planning projects. Erin’s interests include urban infill,
multi-modal transit development and urban open space integration.
She specializes in urban public square design. She has a master’s
degree in landscape architecture from the University of Oregon,
a bachelor’s degree in landscape architecture from the University
of Oregon and a bachelor’s degree in interior design from
Marylhurst University. |

Julia Reed, Urban
Designer/Project Manager (jreed@ca-city.com)
Julia has experience creating revitalization plans for mixed-income
neighborhoods and downtowns, coordinating complex planning processes
involving multiple jurisdictions and diverse citizen groups, and
facilitating public participation efforts. She is well versed in
land use codes and their implications. Julia has a master’s
degree in landscape architecture from the University of Georgia
and a bachelor of arts degree in biology from Earlham College in
Richmond, Indiana. |

Jessie Maran,
Urban Designer/Project Manager (jmaran@ca-city.com)
Jessie is an experienced urban designer who specializes in city
and neighborhood designs that build community and human-scale environments.
She has managed all aspects of project development from the conceptual
analysis stage through to implementation. With each project she
undertakes, Jessie focuses on energy-efficient design and clear
and concise communication. Jessie has a master of landscape architecture
degree from the University of Arizona and a bachelor of arts degree
in philosophy from the University of Washington. |

Brenda Fusté,
Urban Designer/Project Manager (bfuste@ca-city.com)
Brenda serves as an urban designer who specializes in city and architectural
design. She has experience developing form-based codes, design guidelines
and design standards and supporting in-depth community involvement
efforts. Brenda is fluent in Spanish and Catalan languages. She
has a master of architecture degree and a bachelor of architecture
degree from Andrews University in Berrien Springs, Michigan.

Karen Wall, Graphics
Coordinator (kwall@ca-city.com)
With over 20 years of experience, Karen leads all of the firm's
graphic design efforts. Working with the firm's urban designers,
landscape architects and architects, she manages the production
of illustratives, 3-D graphics and site plans for downtown revitalization,
station area planning and transit-oriented development projects
across the country. Her technical areas of expertise include Adobe
Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign and AutoCAD. She has a certificate
of fine arts from the School of Visual Arts in New York.

Liz brings several years of office administration experience to
Crandall Arambula. Her love of Portland and zest for city living
drew her to become a part of the Crandall Arambula team. In addition
to her administrative work, Liz is a professional singer and actor
in the Portland Area. |

Lauren is an architectural intern focusing on urban design and sustainable
design practices. Lauren is pursuing a master of architecture degree
from the University of Oregon. She has a bachelor's degree in environmental
